Guitar amplifier: Dave I

Dave I Boutique Guitar Amplifier David Culot

Art & Tech! Here is "Dave I", my first Guitar Tube Amplifier made from a 1946 Ducrete-Thomson radio. This is my very first attempt at deciphering a Tube Amp schematic.
--> I learned the hard way that capacitors hold the charge for a long time :)

"Dave I" has a great look, but it sounds a bit muddy. I will have to come back to it one of these days. Power tube: EL84

- A cathartic project! It all started when we left Ukraine because of the war. We arrived in France and I need an outlet to get the pain out. I piked up guitar, hired a teacher and very soon upgraded to Electric guitar.

--> I could have bought this Fender, Vox or Marshall amp, but instead decided to buy a signal generator, an oscilloscope, Electronic supplies and started the long journey to create my own sound. There! I will make my own guitar amplifier, and using an old 1940's radio would be a good idea.

--> What I did not know at the time is that it would be MANY amplifiers.
